Eau de Parfum has a concentration of 15-20% of perfume extracts\/essential oils. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hence, Eau de Parfum is less expensive than Parfum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eau de Parfum fragrances have a longevity of 6 to 8 hours and contain slightly more alcohol and water, yet still a high level of perfume oils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Eau de Toilette<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Eau de Toilette’s concentration lies at 5-15%, which means that it has a light formula and is usually sold in spray bottles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eau de Toilettes tend to dissipate quickly due to their low concentration and high percentage of alcohol. Eau de Toilette can last up to 2-4 hours and is really affordable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Eau de Cologne<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Eau de Cologne has a concentration of 2-4% and is often sold in larger bottles as you tend to need more applications due to its light fragrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A typical example to Eau Cologne is Turkish Cologne<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their scent can last up to 2 hours and are fairly cheap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Eau de Fraiche<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

These are the lightest fragrances with a concentration of 1-3%. The key ingredient is water, as the name itself translates to \u201cfresh water\u201d in French. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the perfume blend is diluted, Eau de Fraiche lasts up to an hour and often requires reapplication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perfume oils rely on a pure oil base without the addition of alcohol or water. The concentration varies, but on average, it can be up to 20% plus a carrier oil that will make up the remainder of the blend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Attar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, there are also perfume oils called Attar,<\/em><\/strong> which is especially common in the Arab world and other Muslim countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attar is a pure, undiluted version of Eau de Parfum and is made with pure essential oils. These Attars neither contain any amount of alcohol nor do they contain carrier oil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
